ABOUT SCOMER

MEDICAL RESEARCH shall be defined as the systematic collection, analysis and interpretation of data to generate new knowledge or solve problems in the practice of medicine. Aims of medical research activity of FAMSA shall be;

  • To encourage the training of medical students in research principles and procedures
  • To emphasize and stimulate original thinking and initiative among medical students
  • To coordinate research and appraise its practical application
  • To collate and disseminate original findings.

Meet Wahida Ali, a third year medical student at state university of Zanzibar from Tanzania 🇹🇿. I am a dedicated leader with extensive experience in coordinating projects, advancing youth leadership, and fostering community engagement. As the Projects Coordinator for TAMSA SUZA in 2023, I led a 5-day training program focused on Feed the Future Tanzania, emphasizing youth leadership and community involvement.

At Madungu Secondary School, I served as Vice President from 2020 to 2022 and Chairwoman of Roots and Shoots in 2021-2022, promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. I also expanded my leadership by becoming the Chairwoman of the Science Club and Vice Chairwoman of the English Club in 2022.

My commitment to leadership extended beyond academics. As the Minister of Sports and Games at All-khamis Camp Secondary School from 2018 to 2019, I organized various sports and recreational activities, promoting physical fitness and teamwork.

Currently, I serve as the Chairperson of FAMSA Standing Committees in Education and Research and the TAMSA National TSD Secretary. As a young medical student, I am deeply committed to advancing medical education and research, ensuring that future healthcare professionals are well-equipped to address the challenges in the medical field.

With a passion for reading, traveling, and sports, I continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of my life. My diverse experiences and dedication to leadership have equipped me with the skills and insights necessary to make a meaningful impact in any community or organization.
