
ABOUT SCOPE
The chairman of SCOPE shall:
- be responsible for co-ordination and guiding the work of the committee in the field of Professional exchange, which shall include:
- Consolidating arrangements in his/her medical school through the authorities for hosting the FAMSA Health Educative School.
- drawing up detailed programme for the health educative school covering elective Postings and Activities, Information Exchange Conference and study tours.
- Draw up a detailed budget for accommodation and feeding of delegates to the Health Educative School.
- Ensure proper understanding by the government of its country or states or school authority of the necessity of this project in order to generate financial support for the Health Educative School.
- Present the above planning and budgeting for approval by the Executive Council through the Secretary-General at the second Executive Council meeting.
- Forward a comprehensive report on the Health Educative School to SCOPUB, not more than four weeks after the Health Education School for publication.
- Present a comprehensive report of the running and cost of the Health Educative School to the Executive Council/General Assembly.
- Explore sources of information and knowledge to develop improved professional exchange activity, regulations and guidelines as well as policy guidance for recommendation to the Executive Council/General Assembly.

Teresa Sindique is a dynamic and dedicated 4th-year medical student at the Higher Institute of Science and Technology of Mozambique (ISCTEM), with a passion for leadership, advocacy, and transformative healthcare. Her journey in health promotion began in 2017, as an active voice in advancing sexual and reproductive health, creating lasting change in her community.
In 2018, she co-founded the Happy Children Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting children in vulnerable situations.
Through annual solidarity events, the association delivers critical support, from clothing assistance to educational resources, empowering children to dream big and achieve brighter futures.
Teresa’s impactful work within the Federation of African Medical Students’ Associations (FAMSA) began in February 2023. She has served as SCOPE National Officer for Mozambique, Coordinator of FAMSA Health Educative Schools, and SCOPE Organizing Secretary, where she championed international exchange opportunities and innovative health education initiatives.
A young leader with a bold vision, Teresa seamlessly blends her medical training with activism. She is driven by an unwavering commitment to improving healthcare systems across Africa, striving to inspire hope, create opportunities, and transform lives on the continent.
