Aisha Abubakar is a 5th year medical student from Federal University Dutse currently serving as the General Secretary of the Federation of African Medical Students Association (FAMSA) and the National Secretary of the National Association of Jigawa State Medical Students (NAJIMS). She is a passionate leader with interest in Advocacy, Medical education, Good leadership in healthcare and volunteering.
She has several experiences like volunteering in Nigerian Medical Students Association (NiMSA) as the national Deputy director, Standing Committee On Medical Education (SCOME) and the local exchange officer 2022 of her institution. Dogliotti School of Medicine, University of Liberia. He is a committed, trustworthy and hardworking team player who is passionate about bettering healthcare. He seeks to actively participate in all actions aimed at improving healthcare in Liberia, Africa and the world at large.

Odongo Shadrack is a fifth-year medical student from Gulu University in Uganda with an interest in research, mental health advocacy, public health and matters pertaining global health. He holds a Diploma in Nursing and a Diploma in Project planning attained before joining medical school.
He served as National president, Uganda Association of Student Nurses and Midwives in 2018 and is a council member of Uganda Medical Union. He has served FAMSA as a Treasurer during the East Africa Region Council 2024 tenure, was part of the FAMSA delegation team at the 2024 AMSC Japan Conference which centred on disaster medicine and was key in the FAMSA mental Health campaign in May 2024.
He is a member of Africa Community Based Rehabilitation Network. His focus is to advocate for African children living with mental health challenges such as intellectual disabilities and autism.
He is currently serving as the Coordinator for East Africa Region at the FAMSA Executive council and believes that Team work and capacity building are key in fulfilling dreams and harnessing potentials of all medical students in the different MSAs in East Africa and Africa at large.

Stepping up to 2022-2023 where I was a representative of the Cameroon Medical Student Association at the 1st edition of Salon International de la santé, which was about Health improvement in Cameroon during which i was enriched by knowledgeable professors and Doctors. Meet Zainab Osama Elnour Elsharif, a second-year medical student at Al-Butana University, Gezira State, Sudan, with over four years of volunteering experience and numerous leadership roles: Regional Coordinator for North Africa at the Federation of African Medical Students’ Associations (FAMSA), Executive Director of the Sudan Medical Students’ Forum, Advisory Council Member, Former President, and Capacity Building Director (2022–2023) of the Medical Students’ Association, Al-Butana University.
She also serves as the Public Health Facilitator at the Sudanese Association of Medical Students, a scientific researcher at BASIRA Association, Banha University, Egypt, the founder of a CV design brand, a trainer in soft skills and self-development, a member of the Training and Scientific Research Unit, Pediatric Specialized Hospital, Kassala State, and a health promoter and data collector in the medical field.

Meet Wahida Ali, a third year medical student at state university of Zanzibar from Tanzania 🇹🇿. I am a dedicated leader with extensive experience in coordinating projects, advancing youth leadership, and fostering community engagement. As the Projects Coordinator for TAMSA SUZA in 2023, I led a 5-day training program focused on Feed the Future Tanzania, emphasizing youth leadership and community involvement.
At Madungu Secondary School, I served as Vice President from 2020 to 2022 and Chairwoman of Roots and Shoots in 2021-2022, promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. I also expanded my leadership by becoming the Chairwoman of the Science Club and Vice Chairwoman of the English Club in 2022.
My commitment to leadership extended beyond academics. As the Minister of Sports and Games at All-khamis Camp Secondary School from 2018 to 2019, I organized various sports and recreational activities, promoting physical fitness and teamwork.
Currently, I serve as the Chairperson of FAMSA Standing Committees in Education and Research and the TAMSA National TSD Secretary. Dorothy has served as the Financial Secretary of the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students (FECAMDS), a National Executive Council member of the Nigerian Medical Students’ Association (NiMSA), and a liaison officer to the Commonwealth Medical Association.
